Soft, Buttery, and Bursting with Cereal Flavor

Bring your favorite Crumbl cookie home with this Fruity Pebbles Copycat Cookie recipe — soft, chewy sugar cookies topped with a swirl of pink frosting and a sprinkle of that nostalgic cereal crunch. These cookies taste just like the ones from the bakery case but cost a fraction to make — plus, you can enjoy them fresh from your own oven anytime.

The base is a buttery sugar cookie that’s lightly golden around the edges and melt-in-your-mouth soft in the center. The frosting is creamy, sweet, and tinted the perfect Crumbl pink. Top it with Fruity Pebbles for the ultimate flashback to childhood breakfast — turned dessert.

Ingredients

For the Cookie Base:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

For the Frosting:

  • 1/2 cup melted butter

  • 2 cups powdered sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 drops red food coloring (for that crumbl-pink hue)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.

  4. Stir in flour, salt, and baking soda until a soft dough forms.

  5. Scoop dough into large balls (about 3 tablespoons each), roll slightly, and place spaced apart on baking sheet.

  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are set but centers look soft. Let cool completely before frosting.

  7. Make the frosting: Whisk melted butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and two dots of red food coloring until creamy and smooth. Add a teaspoon of milk if it’s too thick.

  8. Spread frosting over cooled cookies and top generously with Fruity Pebbles.

💡Notes: These cookies are best the same day for maximum cereal crunch, but you can store them covered for up to 3 days. For a fun twist, chill the frosted cookies for 10 minutes before serving — the frosting sets just like Crumbl’s signature look.
